How does my child join?
Fill out the SIGN UP form (you can download that from the school web-site), and turn it in to Mrs. Whitney, as well as the CHORUS SHIRT ORDER FORM to order a shirt for your child. It is a part of the concert uniforms. The first rehearsal is Tuesday morning, September 13th at 7:50 AM. Chorus meets in the multi-purpose Room. We will meet every week on Tuesday morning from 7:50 to 8:50 am. At the end of chorus, your child will go directly to their classroom for the school day. Please have these forms turned in to the office by Monday, September 12th.
What do the kids wear?
For rehearsals, we wear everyday school clothing. The uniform for concerts is a black Chorus t-shirt with a silver paw print and the words "Fry School" on the front. We will wear this with khaki (tan) pants. If you already have one from past years, you do not need a new one.
What is expected of the kids?
Regular weekly attendance and participation is essential. Rehearsal attendance is required to participate in the performances. We sing our best when we have rehearsed together and learned all the special directions for each song. I will call home if attendance is a problem.
Some Things That Are Good to Know…
* There is a Choral Informational Meeting for parents of 4th and 5th graders at Waubonsie Valley High School on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:00-6:45 pm. When the presentation concludes, there will be time to meet with the choir teachers to ask questions. Band/Orchestra have a meeting directly after at 7:00 as well, so you may attend both.

* For our first rehearsal of the year, we will meet on Tuesday, September 13, at 7:50 am in the Multi-purpose Room.
*Children should be dropped off at Door 2, in front of the building. The Chorus helpers will assist incoming 4th graders as to where to leave backpacks, and where to sit.
